Wills and estate planning
It is estimated that two-thirds of people in the UK don’t have a Will.
Many people believe they are either too young to write a Will or that it’s too expensive or they don’t have enough money or property to make writing a Will worthwhile.
We offer a fixed price will service starting at £99 plus vat for a simple will
Wills can also be used for tax planning and to protect your assets for future generations
Call our probate team today for a no obligation chat about preparing or reviewing your Will.
Power of attorney
We offer a fixed fee service for preparing powers of attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) allows your loved ones to take care of you and your finances if you become unable to do so yourself.
There are two types of LPA:
A “Property and Financial Affairs” LPA gives your Attorney the authority to deal with your financial affairs.
A “Health and Welfare” LPA covers decisions about health and care. This can only be used if someone is incapable of dealing with such matters themselves.
If you lose mental capacity without an LPA in place, it will be necessary for your family to apply to the Court of Protection to have a deputy appointed to deal with everyday financial matters. This is a slow and more costly process and if you already have an LPA in place, this will not be necessary.
There is a registration fee of £82 per Lasting Power of Attorney payable upon registration.
